Mark's Home Inspection Service, Inc. has been in business since 1993, that is a long time in this business. My father, Mark Haas, started the company and has long since retired. I am now the sole owner and sole inspector in the company. I have been a full time General Home Inspector since 2002. My background of 6 years of architecture school at Kent State University, where I earned 2 architecture degrees, and went on to practice for 8 years, was an excellent place to begin understanding houses from the inside out. This is knowledge that most inspectors don't have.
I perform General Home Inspections in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice and within the guidelines as stipulated by the ASHI Code of Ethics. I am an ASHI Certified Inspector and my member number is 211256. I also offer Radon Gas Testing as an added service to my customers. I am licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Health as a Radon Tester and my license number is RT 689.
The fees that I charge are based on the number of rooms and heating systems, not the amount of time spent. I want you, as my customer, to know as much as you can about the home, prior to finalizing your deal. Purchasing a home is one of the most daunting adventures that you go through during your lifetime, I really try to make it less overwhelming and more of a learning experience about the home.
